| Given the choice, most people prefer a stone built house, and everybody appreciates stone masonry, but due to modern techniques and economic factors, far less stone is being used in modern houses. A great shame when we know what a great building material it is, we have centuries of proof. Often old buildings are demolished just to recuperate the masonry and sell it on for a healthy profit.
The time it takes to dress stone, especially granite is long and therefore expensive. Recent houses which have been built using dressed stone, rarely have the same quality of finish in the dressing or features that the dressed stone of 150 years ago would have had, no chamfers to the edges, no date, very little craftsmanship. |

| We at Concreations have developed a technique for moulding reconstituted stone, which brings together modern methods and products for re-creating masonry which is 90% granite and 100% real. The big advantage with our products is that we are able to recreat all the traditional shapes and cuts of stone which have been lost in recent years because production methods have been too expensive.
The other advantages with our methods of creating feature masonry, is the range of colours or finishes that can be obtained, It is also possible to house roller shutters or drain pipes within the product, light weight stone can be made for an easier installation, pick up points are incorporated to ease the burden of carrying heavy items and in-situe casting can save you money on installation cost. |
